This is what they call reading week, the week before finals. It has been pretty chill, not much to do but go to class and study for the exams next week. I have a project due today for fragments, and then a group project my group and I are working on for that class, but other than that all I have left are the exams. That group project is not even a group project really, but I am not going to get into that right now. I have been studying a little bit here and there, but nothing too intense, I'm not too worried about finals. Economics should be good since I have a high grade already and we can use our book of notes on the test. Religions should be alright, but I have to actually study for that one, we have a smaller group meeting thing tomorrow so that should help. Biology should be okay too, I made like seventy-something flashcards I have been studying with, and I know more than I thought I did so I'm pretty happy about that. Finally, accounting will be good because we have a take-home portion of it, so I can do well on that part, and then the in-class section should not be too bad hopefully, he rounds everything in the end too so thats good. Fragments I have no final thank goodness, just these dumbass projects that are a waste of my life. Oh, my lab is over too and we didn't have any final or anything, I had a B at midterms and I got it up to an A now so I am very excited about that. There are only three As in the class, people surprise me sometimes with how they do not take school very seriously, but thats besides the point.
Last week BSU had a bbq instead of going to Dave and Buster's because, well I don't know why exactly but its whatever. It was some good food though, unlike the black history month "bbq" by sodexo, it was a thousand times better because the advisor, Kevin, cooked and stuff. No more BSU until next semester now, and same with the step team. It is weird that this semester, this year is practically over.
This year went by so fast. Everyone always says to enjoy your college years or whatever because they go by so fast and stuff, and I never thought that was true, but now I know, I am already a quarter of the way done! With my time at NAU at least, I don't know what I'm doing after I graduate, if I am going to do more school or something, I don't know yet. I'm excited for next semester though, it should be a lot better than this semester, mainly because no fragments. I'm taking English, Accounting (the hardest class ever in the business school they say), Economics (either micro or macro, I can't remember which one it is, I have to take both eventually though anyways), Race & Ethnic Relations, and Human Sexuality (a one-unit class that is only the first five weeks, taught by my BIO100 professor I have now so it should be cool). It is only 14 units, as opposed to 16 units I had last semester and this semester. I guess its okay though, as long as I have 60 units by the end of next year. Also, I will be living with my friend in Aspen, a 24-hour quiet hall. Its better than having a random roommate though, even if we did have to choose the 24-hour quiet option (that was the only place left to live anyways), I talked to some people that live there now and they said its not bad. It is one of the newest buildings on campus so its really modern and just new! All the rooms have a ceiling fan, and its suites so our room and the room next with two suite mates (we don't know who they are going to be) share a bathroom, and everything will just be newer rather than older. Also, we don't get a key or anything to our room, we swipe our ID to get in, like a hotel! It is so cool, thats what I am most excited about. Just the fact that I will be a second year student and there will be new freshmen below me is also a reason why next semester/year will be better. I am however, going to miss the people that are not returning to NAU in August. I just started hanging out with this group of people pretty often, and a few of them are not coming back, but its alright I guess, most of them are, but it is still sad.
This weekend I need to pack. I have yet to pack anything, and Darwin is coming on Monday to take two (2) boxes of my stuff back up to the great Pacific Northwest. I am more stressed about that then finals, which is a good thing, I think. I don't think I have that much stuff, but I bet once I start packing I will realize I have more than I came down here with, but whatever. I need to figure out what I can pack and send with him, and what I need, and more importantly, will be able to fit in my two suitcases for when I leave next Friday. It is almost summer time!!! For me at least, it is less than a week away! Next Saturday I am going to Stadium's prom with Jamie. It will be interesting, the day after I get back, but I will have plenty of time to rest after that, a couple months. I have a feeling I will enjoy being home for a few weeks, but I think I will be ready to come back to Flagstaff way before it is time to move in in August, but oh well. I just need to find a job, I am still working on that, and just work a lot to stay busy, and of course hang out and party with friends and stuff, well, what friends I have left up there.
It is pretty crazy it is the end of April, almost May, and it is currently snowing here. It is extremely windy also, like 75mph gusts! I'm not sick of it or anything though like people (Darwin) thought I would be, I enjoy it. It will be nice to be back in Tacoma for a while though, and to drive.
Today, I won an auction on eBay for a coca cola edition of Monopoly, I am very excited. I won it for $10.51, and shipping was $10, so like 20 bucks, still better than prices in a store, and I doubt you would even be able to find a coca cola version in a store. I love monopoly; it is my life. I hope I can find friends to play it with when I get back, I guess I can get Shayla to play too. I also bought this book about reality television from half.com, I'm just going crazy buying stuff online, but its all good. I sold back the three (3) books I was told to buy for fragments. We only really used one of them, but I'm not going to get into that right now, it makes me furious. I got $39.50 for the three of them, and I bought all of them online for $30.95 (including shipping) so I made about nine dollars profit, not bad! Anyways, I'm finna go buy some coffee and consume it. It is seriously snowing like hardcore now, humongous flakes, gotta love living in Flagstaff.
