Common Courtesy

Isn't it common courtesy to remove at least one of your earphones, if not both when you are with someone?  I find it extremely rude when people, you know exactly who I'm talking about, just be listening to music with both earphones in when they are with someone.  That is just rude and anti-social.  "It's not up loud, I can still hear you...I don't feel like taking them out right now," all poor excuses.  I always have my Zune on me when I'm walking to class by myself and stuff, but if I meet up with someone or talk to someone at least I turn it off so they know I care about what they have to say.  Just another pet peeve I guess, but not really, it is something that everyone should just do; unfortunately I guess there are some people who are just rude sometimes.
